October is Here

It's been a heck of a September that is over now. I am busier than ever working with Telarus on the new T1 Back Office, and of course updating the geoquote search engine and other miscellaneous tasks.

It was a tough month for me personally since I sustained my first ever injury playing basketball! Needless to say, I found out I'm getting old - the hard way! It's healing now finally, although the ankle is still stiff and sore in the morning and I can't bend it too much. Quite some time will need to pass before I can get back out on the court. And that was my favorite form of excercise, so I'm ballooning up like a pig now - especially during the recent Moon Festival which we attended a great barbecue out on the street along with fireworks and lots of other fun stuff.

All for Now,

Coulda Shoulda Woulda...

Home Depot Stock Chart Well, I should have sold on Friday or even Tuesday.. Still could have sold up until Thursday... Now by Friday, I'm left here with the only stock that was making money over the past few weeks... right back down almost where it started. Now I know why the small timers like me should just stay in it for the long-term and not try to guess what the market is going to do.. Well, I'm still up over my purchase price of $33.81 ... but just barely, I just hope that Fed cuts the rates soon... at least I can take comfort in the 25 cent dividend... I guess you could call it greed.. I was just operating under the foolish belief that things would get better. It still might happen, at least short term, so I'm trying to be patient before I sell like a mad-man...

On another Note, here's a nice picture from our recent trip to Kenting:

Oh, and by the way, we experienced a rocking good time last night at 2 am due to a 6.6 earthquake. Nothing was really damaged around here, but we were sort of far from the epicenter.

Kevin E Anderson 1951-2007: In Memoriam

Back in Taiwan

Well, here we are back in Taiwan just in time for one earthquake (5.7 on the scale) and now the third typhoon... Thank goodness for my wonderful FTTB Bandwidth. It's good for work, and also for play stuff like keeping up on the Market.

Recently an old friend passed away. I am partially reviving this blog just in case somebody clicks on the link from the Kevin Anderson Memorial Blog. Thanks to Patrick for putting that together, and I'm glad to see all of Kevin's old friends and agents posting there.

We had a great trip back to Seattle and it was really wonderful to see everybody there. I miss all the wonderful pretty scenery there.

That's it for now. I must get back to work programming some stuff for another new Telarus Web Site.

Post Numero Uno

Welcome to the first post on Blogger. I intend this blog to be about the day to day life of a programmer working for Telarus and living in Taiwan. I don't have a lot of time to post. My intention is to just maintain some basic links and maybe an update every week or so with some pictures.

Since I've been on the Internet since 1990, I've never really maintained any kind of consistent presence on the web, this is my way of making up for it!
